Republic Nashville's The Band Perry Wraps A Whirlwind CMA Music Fest
Named as one of the hardest-working bands in country music, The Band Perry definitely put that title to the test last week, experiencing their busiest CMA Music Festival ever ... with the ABC-TV cameras on hand to catch most of the fun! Exhibiting a surplus of energy – or adrenaline – the brothers and sister trio kicked off the week with performance and presentation slots on Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards.
On Thursday morning, they hosted their first-ever fan club party for 200 fans before making a surprise appearance on The Buckle Stage to help The Grand Ole Opry raise funds for the Opry Fund by auctioning a specially-decorated guitar autographed by the band. On Friday evening, the sibling trio performed a full set on the main stage at LP Field for CMA Music Fest attendees then boarded their bus for Chicago, where they opened for Brad Paisley on Saturday night at Wrigley Field. Following the Paisley tour date, the three returned to Nashville, where they greeted fans at the BMLG Booth in Fan Fair Hall.
In between all of those activities, Kimberly (with help from brothers Reid and Neil) also hosted various segments of the upcoming ABC network TV special, “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock,” along with co-host Luke Bryan. The special is slated to air on September 17 at 8 p.m. EDT.
Undoubtedly, The Band Perry’s highlight of the week was their Fan Club party, which was held at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Nashville, just steps away from the rest of the action. Making the fans the star for the day, the band rolled out the red carpet and let the fans experience a little of the celebrity life first-hand at the special event. Fans did interviews with camera crews and posed for individual photos with Kimberly, Reid and Neil, in between bites of scrumptious cupcakes and other delicious goodies at the vintage, "country-chic" themed party.
The Band Perry also unveiled their brand new fan club – “The Fans Perry” (www.thefansperry.com) – inducting their guests as the inaugural members and honored some special fans with TBP statues, including their sweet grandmother Betty Lou, who was named the band’s “Number One Fan.”
“This award is like Entertainer of the Year,” said Kimberly, as she hugged her grandma in front of the packed house. “The ‘Number One Fan’ award will now be officially titled ‘The Betty Lou Award.’”
The host and crew from the Travel Channel’s new show “Flip Your Trip” were on hand to capture all the action at the Perry party, surprising a lucky couple and getting them a front-row seat at the event as part of their “flipped trip” CMA Music Fest experience. ABC-TV also documented the occasion for a special “Day in the Life” piece on the band that will be included in the "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock" special.

The Band Perry Surprise Students At Doak Elementary School To Raise Money For Relay For Life
Five hundred and ninety-six students at Doak Elementary School in Greeneville, TN knew they were helping others by raising funds and awareness for the Greene County Relay for Life's cancer initiatives but they had no idea that their generosity would actually put them in front of one of the hottest trios in Country music — The Band Perry! The siblings, who are local celebrities, initially offered students an autographed photo as an incentive for their efforts, then decided making a visit would be a better way to celebrate.
Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry of Republic Nashville's The Band Perry surprised the students last Thursday morning, rewarding them for their dedication to the annual community fundraiser, which benefits the American Cancer Society.
Second grader Makeelee Nelson, who had seen the band in concert but had never met the them, was moved beyond words before finally blurting out, "I'm so gonna faint!"
The school's support of ACS is a way to honor the work and dedication of the late teacher Lisa White, a cancer victim who was a long-time supporter of the Greene County Relay for Life. Each year since White's passing, the Doak School has held a fundraising campaign, and last year, raised more then $34,000. This year's goal is $35,000 and The Band Perry's visit and autograph session was just one of the ways that the students and faculty of Doak School are trying to meet that goal.
The Grammy-nominated group said they were thrilled to be a part of this event, especially since funds were going to the American Cancer Society.
Visiting Doak, where her friend taught school, was very special and moving to Kimberly.
“Cancer is something that has touched our lives,” Kimberly Perry said. “We had an aunt who passed away from cancer, and Lisa White was a dear friend of ours. To honor those ladies' lives in this way — and to raise some money for the American Cancer Society — is something we like being a part of.”
The siblings enjoyed their brief stay at home in the Tennessee mountains during a moment's break in their busy touring and performance schedule. In addition to being part of Brad Paisley's VIRTUAL REALITY TOUR, 2012 has seen the band headlining many of their own shows, including performances across the pond in London and Dublin.
Tonight, The Band Perry will join an A-list group of performers at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville during All for the Hall, a fundraising concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame. They will appear on ACM PRESENTS: Lionel Richie and Friends – In Concert, this Friday (April 13) on CBS, beginning at 9PM ET/PT.
GAC NIGHTS -ACM PRESENTS LIONEL RICHIE & FRIENDS, previewing the special, will broadcast on Wednesday (April 11) on GAC (Great American Country) at 9PM ET.
The group’s latest single, “Postcard From Paris,” is the band's fifth single from their Platinum-certified, self-titled, debut album.
The Band Perry Perform at the 'Lionel Richie & Friends in Concert'
The Band Perry performed at the 'Lionel Richie & Friends in Concert' taped at the MGM Grand Arena Monday night (April 2) in Las Vegas and presented by the Academy of Country Music.
The stage was decked out with a huge spaceship hovering over it - with white, yellow and orange running lights. The room was packed with fans, adding to the excitement of the Academy of Country Music's tribute to Lionel Richie, which will air April 13th on CBS.
The Band Perry shared a fun story about Lionel's tune, 'Penny Lover.' "There's a little trick songwriters use when composing a tune -- we'll use dummy lyrics. Lionel told us when he wrote this song, he thought the lyrics were dummy lyrics until a deejay urged him to stick with the original lyrics!"
Be sure to tune in Friday, April 13th (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Band Perry Perform to a Sold-Out Crowd at Houston Live Stockshow and Rodeo
Recently referred to as “the hardest working band in country music,” Republic Nashville super-trio, The Band Perry, brought their high-energy, hit-infused sound to Texas this week where they performed to a SOLD-OUT crowd of more than 74,000. Their appearance catapulted them in the upper echelon, garnering the 3rd-highest attendance record in Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo history.
“We are thrilled to have had such a talented trio perform on the RodeoHouston® stage,” said Leroy Shafer, chief operating officer of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. “Just two short years ago, The Band Perry made their Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo debut by playing at our World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, and now, they are selling out Reliant Stadium and breaking RodeoHouston records. Their presence is definitely known in Houston.”
“We love our fans in Texas and we appreciate their support. The energy coming back to us from the audience was just incredible. We had a GREAT time this week in Houston and we can’t wait to come back!” says Kimberly Perry. The siblings treated their fans to new tunes, their current single "Postcard From Paris" and the chart-topping "If I Die Young" and "All Your Life" from their self-titled, debut album.
The Band Perry, who earned last year's coveted ACM New Artist of the Year, is nominated for ACM Group of the Year and will perform on the April 1 award show in Las Vegas. They will then head back out on Brad Paisley's VIRTUAL REALITY WORLD TOUR 2012.
The Band Perry's “If I Die Young” Certified Quadruple Platinum
On the heels of celebrating a recent two-week #1 with their Gold-certified single, “All Your Life,” and a Platinum debut album, the excitement continues this week for The Band Perry. The RIAA has certified their #1 smash, “If I Die Young” Quadruple Platinum for sales exceeding 4 million. The breakout hit is the only single from a debut album in the last 18 months to achieve this status and has sold more copies than any other Country artist in the same timeframe.
The irony of the title and the song’s enduring success are not lost on the sibling trio. “"We are honored by this acknowledgement and thankful that so many of you have connected with this song," said Kimberly Perry, who was honored as the song's author with the 2011 CMA Award for Song of the Year.
The 2012 ACM Group of the Year nominees will host the upcoming GAC television special, highlighting the 2012 ACM New Artist of the Year contenders. Just last year, The Band Perry was named both the ACM and CMA New Artist of the Year and earned the CMA Single of the Year and the CMT Music Awards’ for Breakthrough Video of the Year. Previously they garnered GRAMMY, TEEN CHOICE, AMA and ACA award nods.
“Each time the bar is set, it seems that The Band Perry surpasses it! Selling over 4 million downloads on just one song is a huge accomplishment. This extremely talented group is remarkable and we’re thrilled to have them as part of the Republic Nashville family,” said Republic Nashville President Jimmy Harnen.
The Band Perry is currently touring as a special guest on Brad Paisley’s VIRTUAL REALITY WORLD TOUR 2012 as well as headlining their own dates. Their next up-tempo single, "Postcard From Paris," is going for immediate airplay at Country radio.
The Band Perry Celebrates Two-Week No.1 "All Your Life"
As couples everywhere celebrated Valentine’s Day, The Band Perry found themselves in the midst of adoration as well. For the second consecutive week, their love ballad, “All Your Life” landed atop the Billboard Country Radio Chart and earned the #1 spot on the Country Aircheck/USA Today powered by Mediabase Chart.
They heard the exciting news while still feeling the rush from their performance honoring the iconic Glen Campbell during the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday night (2/12).
"We aren't quite 'over' our first Grammy experience - performing in the presence of icons like Glen Campbell, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen! We were also grateful to be there with the music community as we sadly, but poignantly, mourned the icons we've lost this year. Amidst all these emotions, we are especially grateful that Country radio and their listeners have kept 'All Your Life' in their hearts for Valentine's Day." said Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry.
“What an amazing feat for The Band Perry to have earned their second #1! We are so excited to share this honor with them, their fans and our friends at Country radio. For 'All Your Life' to be this week’s most-played song is definitely fitting at this time of year and we’re all feeling the love," said Republic Nashville President Jimmy Harnen.
The Band Perry's platinum debut album has garnered a warm welcome from both radio and Country music fans. The Republic Nashville release features two #1 singles – the Gold-certified "All Your Life" and Triple-Platinum "If I Die Young" – as well as the Gold-certified cheatin’ anthem, "You Lie."
The reigning 2011 ACM and CMA New Artist of the Year winners were recently nominated in the 2012 ACM Vocal Group of the Year category. Previously, The Band Perry has also earned the 2011 CMA Award for Single of the Year, while Kimberly Perry was honored with Song of the Year, for penning “If I Die Young.” Other accolades include the 2011 CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of theYear, the "Best New Live Act" Award sponsored by Nationwide Insurance, as well as GRAMMY, TEEN CHOICE, AMA and ACA award nominations.

The Band Perry's Album Goes Platinum as the Trio Earns Grammy Nod for Best New Artist
After breaking through this year as one of Country’s hottest new acts, The Band Perry is now celebrating a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and a newly certified Platinum album! This week the family band performed during “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!,” earned a nomination for Best New Artist and learned that their debut album, THE BAND PERRY has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.
“We are excited and honored beyond belief. A Grammy nomination is like a gold star from the people you most look up to. As we begin our next album, this is a great vote of confidence. To both the music fans who bought our album (and told a friend!) and to the creative community that has welcomed us in; we promise not to let you down,” said Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry.
These Grammy Best New Artist contenders are already the reigning ACM Best New Artist (April 2011) and CMA New Artist of the Year (November 2011) and their televised performance last night during the Grammy nomination special demonstrated why TBP fans range from the young to the old and come from all walks of life. TBP's mash-up of their own “Independence” with Tom Petty’s “Free Falling,” stitched together two iconic American themes – coming of age and the celebration of freedom – to showcase their rare knack for combining youthful exuberance with the wisdom of old souls.
"In this environment, it takes something amazing to break through and The Band Perry has done just that with some extraordinary feats, like their Grammy nomination and selling OVER ONE MILLION ALBUMS! There has always been something uniquely special about their music and them as individuals. On behalf of Republic Nashville, we couldn't be prouder of Kimberly, Reid and Neil, who accolade after accolade, continue to be dedicated and humble," said Jimmy Harnen, Republic Nashville President.
Currently, the family band is planning their pursuits for 2012. They will continue performing their own headlining dates – many of which broke attendance records at various venues this past summer. They will join Brad Paisley¹s Camobunga! 2012 World Tour in January and continue writing and recording their second album.
Their debut album, THE BAND PERRY, features the #1, triple-Platinum smash “If I Die Young;” Gold-certified single “You Lie,” their current ballad “All Your Life” and the recently performed “Independence.”

Big Night for the Band Perry at the 45th Annual CMA Awards
The Band Perry, who just celebrated the firstanniversary of their debut album, was named New Artist of the Year by the Country Music Association last night at the 45th Annual CMA Awards.
The honor was one of three that went to the Perry household - in addition to New Artist of the Year, The Band Perry took home Single of the Year for "If I Die Young," while big sister Kimberly Perry earned the coveted Song of the Year award for "If I Die Young." "
Growing up, we watched the CMA Awards every year, so to think that we now have our own awards to put on our mantel is surreal! We are grateful to be recognized inthis way and we promise to continue to keep working hard to deliver our best," said Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry.
"Wow! What an incredible night for The Band Perry - to not only receive these three CMA Awards but to have delivered such a powerful performance during the show. This could not happen to three nicer people. Everyone at Republic Nashville is so proud and excited for Kimberly, Neil and Reid's amazing accomplishments," said Jimmy Harnen, Republic Nashville President.
Also last night, the band performed their latest hit, "All Your Life," with a warmly-lit, Vaudeville-themed set that referenced the song's music video, which features TBP as a traveling troupe of performers. It was a case of art imitating life for the family that has been touring partners and collaborators together for the past thirteen years.

The Band Perry Reaches #1 on Adult Contemporary Chart
The Band Perry's "If I Die Young" is the #1 song on Billboard's Nielsen/BDS Adult Contemporary Chart this week - almost one full year after the song first hit #1 on the Country Chart. Since "If I Die Young" was first released by Republic Nashville, it has been certified Triple Platinum and the video has racked up over 40 million views on YouTube. In the meantime, on the Country charts, their cheating anthem, "You Lie" went all the way to #2 and their current romantic ballad, "All Your Life" has climbed into the Top 15 on the Mediabase chart.
"We couldn't be more honored that 'If I Die Young' has resonated with so many. Since it first found an audience, many people have told us stories about playing this song to find comfort or inspiration. Today, and each day, we're filled with gratitude that we're a part of that," said Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry.
The sibling trio currently has five CMA nominations, three AMA nominations and six ACA nominations. Earlier this week, they were featured on the MSN homepage as one of the "Hottest Country Stars Under 30" while Billboard.com featured TBP's bluegrass-tinged performance of Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls," which is a staple of their rollicking live shows.

The Band Perry Goes Triple Platinum
Recently, members of The Band Perry racked up a total of five CMA nominations and now they have new reason to celebrate - their smash single "If I Die Young" has been certified Triple Platinum for sales exceeding 3 million. This milestone arrives as the family band marks the anniversary of their self-titled debut album, THE BAND PERRY, which was released just one year ago this week on Republic Nashville and is now on track to reach Platinum status by the end of the year.
Next up, The Band Perry will perform on ABC's top-rated Dancing with the Stars the Results Show on Tuesday, October 18 (airing at 9p EST/8p CST) and will soon announce an exciting list of upcoming appearances that will take them through the remainder of 2011, closing it out with a bang.
"Although we've planned, prepared and prayed for this moment for the past thirteen years, we're still a little overwhelmed by the warm welcome we've been given," said Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry. "Birthdays have always been celebrated big in this family, so to have a one-year-old album AND hear that 'If I Die Young' has touched so many people; it makes us feel that we're sharing our celebration with all of you."
"It's hard to believe that all of these incredible accolades have come from The Band Perry's very first album…but they have! What an amazing way to celebrate the one year anniversary of their debut release with five CMA Award Nominations, a Dancing with the Stars performance and a certified Triple Platinum single with 'If I Die Young!'" said Jimmy Harnen, Republic Nashville President.
Over the past year, the sibling trio has won the hearts of millions of music fans in both the U.S. and Canada, where "If I Die Young" was recently certified Platinum. They have toured extensively with icons such as Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and are now touring with Reba through the Fall. They have been nominated for, and earned, top honors for their debut album, which combines masterful lyrics and traditional Country influences mixed with classic Rock 'n Roll.
Currently, members of TBP are nominated for five CMA Awards, including Single of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Music Video of the Year and New Artist of the Year as well as a nomination for Song of the Year for Kimberly Perry. “The 45th Annual CMA Awards,” airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 9 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"YOU LIE" GOES GOLD AS ALBUM NEARS PLATINUM
The Band Perry is on a Gold streak! Their latest hit single, “You Lie,” has now earned Gold certification from the RIAA for sales exceeding 500,000. The single recently rose to #2 on both the Billboard Country Albums Chart and the USA Today/Country Aircheck powered by Mediabase Chart.
“‘You Lie’ is full of spitfire and it’s our high-five to everyone who’s been the victim of a cheatin’ heart,” explained The Band Perry. “Only in Country music could a song about feeling fed-up be so much fun to sing. When we perform this one, we get a big ‘amen!’ back and we thank everyone who has joined in.”
“Plain and simple…this song has more hooks than a tackle box!” said Jimmy Harnen, Republic Nashville President.
This is the latest plaque for the Perrys, whose debut album, THE BAND PERRY, went Gold four months after its release on Republic Nashville. Additionally, their megahit, “If I Die Young,” went Platinum, then Double Platinum recently – a testament to the song’s undeniable universal appeal.
The album, which is currently on course to go Platinum by year’s end, contains radio hits “Hip To My Heart,” “If I Die Young,” “You Lie,” and the upcoming love ballad, “All Your Life.” Album-only gems include the Perry-penned “Independence” and the crowd-pleasing rocker, “Double Heart.”

Currently on the road with Tim McGraw and looking forward to dates with Keith Urban (September) and Reba McEntire (October), The Band Perry has become a captivating headlining act in their own right, as recent attendance reports attest.

Readers of MusicRow magazine voted, bestowing honors for Breakthrough Artist on The Band Perry. MusicRow execs caught up with the group at a recent gig at Nashville’s Hard Rock Cafe to present their plaques.
Following years of hard work, “If I Die Young” was the major hit that propelled the trio made up of siblings Neil, Reid and Kimberly Perry to the forefront of country music’s rising class. The track resonated with fans to the tune of two million downloads. Since its release, the group has earned two ACM Awards, a CMT Award, and Grammy and CMA nominations. Their self-titled debut album, created under the direction of producers Nathan Chapman and Paul Worley, has sold almost 600,000 copies to date.
“We always say, the three of us can only walk through open doors,” said Kimberly, who particularly acknowledged MusicRow’s Country Breakout Chart. “All the MusicRow stations have been so gracious, so thank you guys.”
“Like in most success stories, there are no short cuts,” explains Republic Nashville Pres. Jimmy Harnen. “The Band Perry has seen a million faces and rocked them all!
